Evernote is a very powerful application that will certainly help us to take our blog.
At first glance, Evernote is an app where you can create notebooks in which we can create notes which in turn will be labeled to find them quickly in case of need.
One of the strengths of Evernote is that it's multiplatform. We Evernote available for all these platforms.
In my case and for the blog, I use it in 2 ways:
- Write posts. In most Evernote write posts for the blog and so then I have only to copy and paste the text (the format I give it in the WordPress editor, but it could also give in Evernote).
- Save reference material. For this I use Evernote Clearly, it is a complement for Google Chrome and Firefox. When I see something I like or that I can be an inspiration for a post, I capture with Evernote Clearly (either a full page or just a selection).
For both, I have created a notebook called "Blog" and keep everything there, so I like things I write posts that I keep as a reference or resource for the blog.
Evernote is free up to 50 megabytes per month. That is, in the notes, you can add photos, videos, audios to a limit of 50mb per month.
There is a premium service with which the limit is 1GB and it also allows us to save notes locally on your device for when you do not have internet connection.
It has text recognition, so that if any notes have saved a picture of for example, a business card, Evernote will be able to read the contents of the card so we can find it easily.
We can also share our notes, publicly or only with whoever we want. So if you want someone to read a post before publishing for your approval or just to help you write it, with this option you can. Also, if we are premium, we can share notebooks and a group of people can edit the notes.
Another interesting thing, although premium users only, is that we can lock the app with a password. This goes well if we keep important data we do not want anyone to see if you lose the phone.
Another of the peculiarities of Evernote, is the large number of extra applications we have available and synchronized perfectly with the implementation mother.
Some of the best are:
Evernote Clearly. Already I have mentioned before, is a browser plugin able to "transform" an entire article or a selection of it in just text and images. Great for storing reference material.
Thus we see a post normally.
In addition, the plugin is smart and send the note book transformed that applies. For example, if we capture a prescription from a cooking blog and have a book called "Recipes", automatically will poke around. Sometimes fails and the wrong book, but you can always correct. Grace is that as we go capturing notes, the app you'll become aware of where things should go according to our habits.
Web Clipper. Clearly is similar to, but not "transform" the notes, but we can choose directly where it will go. Also allows us to capture urls, complete pages or just web images.
Evernote Hello. 's an app for iOS and Android that allows us to store contacts easily and sorted them in Evernote. It is ideal if you are a blogger meetup or similar.
Evernote Food. This may be the most expendable, but it has its charms. With food, food can save photos and check which restaurant we have tested, post comments, etc ... for culinary bloggers!
In this post I explained how Evernote helps me to keep a blog, but in the official Evernote blog in Spanish there are many people very different interviews in which we provide tips to use it in several areas., and we can tell about all news, events, etc ... related to Evernote.
Finally, I advise visiting ThinkWasabi . Thanks to this blog I discovered Evernote :)
